The National Society for Medical Engineering and Biological Technology (SNIMTB) is an independent scientific organization that aims to promote research cooperation, education support, and dissemination of information concerning the use of modern technology in the fields of medical, clinical, and biological engineering.

SNIMTB commitment to education is proven by the fact that most of its members are university professors, while other members work in research institutions, hospitals, clinics, health care facilities, or private companies that produce or service medical equipment.

Our society plays an important role in promoting medical engineering in Romania as well as in teaching and training those involved in or having an interest in science and medical engineering.
